Coolagad Capital invests in and operates established Irish businesses, enabling successful shareholder transitions

Our Approach

Discretion

The sale of a business is an enormously sensitive and personal decision. We operate with the strictest discretion and confidentiality.

The sales process can be delivered in a manner and timing to ensure that shareholders are comfortable and satisfied.

Operational

We are hands on operators, with extensive multi-sectoral experience, able to pick up the extensive and broad duties carried out by owner-operators. We work collaboratively with existing management, and can comfortably fill gaps in sales, operations, finance and any other functions.

Situational

We are focused on facilitating transactions in the following situations:

  • Ownership Transitions: We provide business owners with an opportunity to realise value in a flexible, transparent and sensitive manner.

  • Strategic Refresh: Coolagad can provide businesses with additional resources and capabilities during periods of significant growth, change or uncertainty.

 Investment Criteria

  • Our core focus is on profitable businesses with revenue in excess of €10M, but we are interested in discussing any special situations or sound businesses that do not perfectly meet our criteria. We have a significant network or financial investors for larger businesses.

  • Our particular focus is on businesses with a defensible niche, operating in a fragmented industry, with scope for significant growth and development.

  • A key criteria is a strong, diversified customer base with minimal concentration and good future growth prospects
