Brian Fitzpatrick — Principal

Brian is the founder of Coolagad Capital. Prior to the establishment of Coolagad, Brian was CEO of a number of diversified European businesses owned by a family office, with combined turnover in excess of €120M and products spanning print, packaging, marketing solutions and promotional products. As part of this role, Brian completed the successful acquisition and integration of a number of different businesses into the portfolio, varying from family-owned SMEs to corporate carve-outs.

Previous to this, Brian held a number of leadership positions with Smurfit Kappa Group in Ireland, the UK and continental Europe with roles across sales, operations/supply chain, finance and P&L responsibility for a number of business units. Brian is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and hold masters and undergraduate business qualifications from Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin.

Brian has significant experience in managing the transfer of business ownership, and is enthusiastic about the challenge of delivering succession planning.

Brian lives in Co. Wicklow with his wife and two young children.
